Sending durood upon Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam)
Q: How do I send salutations to Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) during salat?
A: There are many ways to send durood upon Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam). One way is just to recite durood upon Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) out of salaah. The second way is to recite durood upon Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) in salaah (i.e. in the last qa'dah after reciting the tashahhud). The third way is when engaging in dua, then to recite durood upon Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) before commencing the dua as well as after completing the dua. Apart from these three ways, there are other ways of sending durood upon Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) reported.
