Shareholders selling their shares

Q: Seven people own shares in an asset, and have different wishes regarding what should be done with the asset i.e some wish to sell the asset while others wish to keep the asset. What is the Shar'ee ruling on how this matter should be resolved?
A: Those who wish to sell their shares, they may sell their shares, preferably to the rest of the shareholders first.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
(ومنها) ملك الشفيع وقت الشراء في الدار التي يأخذ بها الشفعة (الفتاوى الهندية 5/ 161)
ولا يجوز لأحدهما أن يتصرف في نصيب الآخر إلا بأمره وكل واحد منهما كالأجنبي في نصيب صاحبه ويجوز بيع أحدهما نصيبه من شريكه في جميع الصور ومن غير شريكه بغير إذنه إلا في صورة الخلط والاختلاط كذا في الكافي (الفتاوى الهندية 2/ 301)
