Maintaining one's composure

Q: I live in a joint family with my 2 kids and husband. For the past few months my behaviour towards people has changed alot. I am speaking too much which I never used to. I am always finding faults and just losing my identity in my family. I try to stay good and calm but something just tends me to do wrong. Please advise me.

A: Go on trying. You cannot use this as an excuse that something turns you to do something inappropriate. That very thing that turns you has to be suppressed and suppressing yourself brings the reward. Just giving yourself the freedom of expression can lead you to massive destruction and ruin. For example, the thing tells you to hit this person or kill this person and you end up doing what the thing tells you to do, what will be the consequence? For the time being, what you could do is that when you feel that you are losing composure then don't wait. Under some pretext move away immediately and beg Allah Ta`ala's protection.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
