Teaching children Hajj and Tawaaf around a box covered in cloth like the Ka‘bah

Q: The school my child attends has asked me to dress my children in white garments, so that they can teach them how to perform the rituals of Hajj and tawaaf in a practical way but there will be a “Ka‘bah” (a simple big box covered in cloth) for teaching purposes only; is that permissible? They will make 'tawaaf' and sit facing the Ka‘bah making dua.

A: We strongly discourage this. For more than a thousand years people learnt the rituals of hajj with great ease, respect and mahabbat. If this important obligation and symbol of Islam is going to become just a show and drama then what will be left of this obligation.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
