Women performing salaah behind the imaams in the Haram

Q: I intend performing umrah. Is it permissible for women to perform salaah behind the Imaam in the Harams? I have heard that the Imaams do not make intention for women.

A: If the imaams do not make intention for the women, then the salaah of the women will not be valid. It is best for women to perform their salaah in their hotel rooms. Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) encouraged the women to perform their salaah in their homes and Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said that this is more rewarding for them.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
