Listening to and singing songs without music

Q: Can I listen to songs without music and can I sing songs without music?

A: Refrain from listening to songs or singing songs. However, if the words you wish to sing in a melodious voice is a nazam or naat in praise of Allah Ta'ala or Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and there is nothing against the teachings of Islam, there is no music attached and the tune does not resemble any musical instrument, etc. then there is no harm in singing such a type of nazam or naat.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
