Marrying a Shia

Q: I am a sunni girl, Sayyed by cast and got a proposal from a Khoja Shia non Sayyed boy.

My question is, is it ok to get married into a Shia family? If so, what is the right way to do nikaah? Should it be done both ways?

A: Generally the Shiahs believe that the Qur'aan was distorted and the Quraan we have is not the original Quraan. Many a times they revile the Sahaabah. To believe that the Qur'aan has been changed or a word has been left out is disbelief and nikaah with a disbeliever is impermissible.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
