Ways of barakah going away when eating

Q: My husband always says that if we eating food like greedy people in the house the barakah goes, is it true?

A: If he refers to greedy as not being concerned about others and being selfish when the food was supposed to be shared correctly between all those who are participating in the meal then obviously this behaviour is not in keeping with the sunnat. As a result the barkat goes away. Likewise, not reciting bismillah causes the barkat to go away.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
