Reciting Surah Qadr after wudhu

Q: Some books mention that one should recite Surah Qadr after wudhu. Example Talimul haq, practical salah by Talimi Board.

A: The great Muhadditheen, the likes of Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah), Allamah Sakhawi (rahimahullah), Allamah Ajlooni (rahimahullah) and Mulla Ali Al-Qaari (rahimahullah) have all mentioned that this narration has no basis in the sunnah and hence it is not correct to attribute it to Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam).

Nevertheless, it was the amal (practice) of some of the pious of the past to recite Surah Qadr after wudhu.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
