Women applying winged eyeliner

Q: Is it haram for a women to do winged eyeliner because the ancient Egyptians used to have winged eyeliner? So is this then imitating kuffar and haraam to do winged eyeliner?
A: Since this resembles the fashions and ways of the kuffaar, you should avoid using this. Apart from this, if it prevents water from reaching the eye-lashes or part of the eyelid, then the ghusal and wudhu will not be valid. When the wudhu will not be valid, then the salaah performed will also not be valid.
