Muslim author writing gay fiction

Q: As a Muslim, can I write gay fiction on random characters? I am a straight girl, I never act on them. Is just writing ok or will Allah punish me for this?

A: Writing stories on this topic is in some way supporting and promoting it. Even though you are not gay and do not involve yourself in this haraam, however by quoting fictitious incidents, there is fear of you being inclined to this haraam or making others inclined towards it. Therefore, it is not permissible for you to write on this. If you have writing potential, then write on something permissible which will be of benefit for you in your deen or dunya. After writing any deeni article, you should get it checked by the ulama for correction and approval before sharing it with others.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
