Perfumes with alcohol
Q: Is it permissible to use deodorants/perfumes that have 'alcohol' as an ingredient? Will my salaah be valid?
A: If the alcohol is made from besides dates and grapes and it does not contain anything impure, then it will be permissible to use it and perform Salaah with it.

Q: I want to ask that it is near to impossible to find out whether perfume contains alcohol which is made from dates and grapes. So how can we make sure that it does not contain anything impure?
A: Alcohol found in deodorants and perfumes are for economical and industrial purposes. Generally these types of alcohol are produced from besides dates and grapes. However, for the ease of your mind, you may refer to a reliable halaal certifying body in whom you have confidance and enquire from them.
