Working as an accounting technician
Q: I would like to know if the job as an accounting technician with the following duties is permissible or not:
Duties :
1. To prepare and examine vouchers.
2. To input and verify records.
3. To process payroll and arrange for payments of salaries and deductions.
4. To write cheques, seek signatures and ensure dispatch by registry.
5. To collect and examine revenue and make remittances to the bank.
6. To verify transactions through e-banking facilities offered by banks.
7. To compute interest payable on line of credit or loan and arrange for payment thereof.
8. To prepare and examine invoices.
9. To ensure that financial accounting and store regulations are understood, correctly applied and fully complied with.
10. To maintain financial, costing and budget records.
11. To ensure correctness of payment vouchers including wages pay sheets.
12. To maintain salary records.
13. To submit and recover insurance, dispatch money and other claims.
14. To request for proposals of rates from banks and to evaluate proposals.
15. To prepare cash flows for foreign currency account.
16. To perform inter bank and inter account transfer for management of Treasury.
17. To arrange for insurance cover and declaration of stocks.
18. To prepare Bank Reconciliation Statement.
19. To effect electronic payments to authorised bodies.
20. To reconcile sales with returns from other sections.
21. To collect, verify, classify, record and report on financial and costing data.
22. To prepare monthly management accounts and returns to government agencies.
23. To maintain record of commodity prices on international market.
24. To maintain computerised Fixed Asset Register.
25. To maintain data on cost items for pricing purposes.
26. To prepare statistical data required by government and agencies.
27. To assist in the management of debtors and creditors and transfer of balances and inter bank accounts.
28. To assist in the preparation of budgets and final accounts.
29. To assist the Senior Accounting Technician in the preparation of price schedules defined under the Consumer Protection (Control of price of petroleum products).
30. To perform IT related duties.
31. To perform such other duties directly related to the main duties above or related to the delivery of the output and results from Accounting Technicians in the roles ascribed to them.
A: The following are doubtful aspects. Hence, abstain from them.

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى عن بيع الغرر (سنن أبي داود، الرقم: 3376)
البيوع الفاسدة أنواع... ومنها أن يكون في المبيع أو في ثمنه غرر مثل بيع السمك في الماء وهو لا يقدر على تسليمه بدون الاصطياد والحيلة وبيع الطير في الهواء أو بيع مال الغير على أن يشتريه فيسلمه إليه لأنه باع ما ليس بمملوك له للحال وفي ثبوته غرر وخطر (تحفة الفقهاء 2/48)
فإن الأصل في العقد اللزوم من الطرفين ولا يثبت لأحدهما اختيار الإمضاء أو الفسخ ولو في مجلس العقد عندنا إلا باشتراط ذلك (رد المحتار4/565)
الربا هو الفضل المستحق لأحد المتعاقدين في المعاوضة الخالي عن عوض شرط فيه (الهداية 3/78)
عن جابر رضي الله عنه قال لعن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم آكل الربا وموكله وكاتبه وشاهديه وقال هم سواء (صحيح مسلم، الرقم: 106)
واقتصر منه هنا على قصة آكل الربا وقال ابن التين ليس في حديثي الباب ذكر لكاتب الربا وشاهده وأجيب بأنه ذكرهما على سبيل الإلحاق لإعانتهما للآكل على ذلك وهذا إنما يقع على من واطأ صاحب الربا عليه فأما من كتبه أو شهد القصة ليشهد بها على ما هي عليه ليعمل فيها بالحق فهذا جميل القصد لا يدخل في الوعيد المذكور وإنما يدخل فيه من أعان صاحب الربا بكتابته وشهادته فينزل منزلة من قال إنما البيع مثل الربا (فتح الباري 4/314)
باب الربا هو لغة مطلق الزيادة وشرعا (فضل) ولو حكما فدخل ربا النسيئة والبيوع الفاسدة فكلها من الربا فيجب رد عين الربا لو قائما لا رد ضمانه لأنه يملك بالقبض قنية وبحر (خال عن عوض) خرج مسألة صرف الجنس بخلاف جنسه (بمعيار شرعي) وهو الكيل والوزن فليس الذرع والعد بربا (مشروط) ذلك الفضل (لأحد المتعاقدين) أي بائع أو مشتر فلو شرط لغيرهما فليس بربا بل بيعا فاسدا (في المعاوضة) فليس الفضل في الهبة بربا (الدر المختار 5/168-170)
قال العلامة ابن عابدين رحمه الله (قوله أي بائع أو مشتر) أي مثلا فمثلهما المقرضان والراهنان قهستاني قال ويدخل فيه ما إذا شرط الانتفاع بالرهن كالاستخدام والركوب والزراعة واللبس وشرب اللبن وأكل الثمر فإن الكل ربا حرام كما في الجواهر والنتف (رد المحتار 5/168-170)
الربا فضل خال عن عوض شرط لأحد المتعاقدين في المعاوضة (فتح باب العناية بشرح النقاية 2/355)
