Q: My question is, is there a ruling regarding what distance should a musjid be from a residential area when building a musjid or can it be built at any place regardless if its too close to or far from a residential area?

Q: I had donated a rented building to a charitable organisation. Recently lot of Muslims have settled down in that locality and there is a need for a mosque. Can a mosque be constructed on the first floor of the building I had given away in waqf to the charitable organisation?
