Q: I have doubt about oath. I am in doubt if I took an oath that I will not go to a particular place. Now I am very depressed whether I took an oath or not? Also it may be possible that I took an oath not verbally. I am very confused that should I go to that place or not?
Q: I did a Kasam by saying I will not go and stay in our other house because my husband was playing with my mind I did not touch the Quran but said that may the Quran punish me I will not go back but I am thinking of moving to same house as it is bigger it would accommodate my family better is there a kafarah to pay for this or not?
Q: If someone touched the Qur'an and said something like I swear on Qur'an I will never come to this house again in anger while having an argument. Can he ever go back to that house if he did tawba, kept 3 rozay and fed 20 miskeen people? If not then what else can he do?
Q: I did a job in Saudi Arabia. On my vacation my mom came to know that I am connected with a girl (na mahram) with love. My mother told me to put your hands on my head and take a "qasam" that you will not talk to your lover in future and you will forget her. I did as she said with intention that I will follow her qasam. But I came to know that this type of qasam is haraam in Islam, so what is the worth of that "qasam". Could I break that? or my mom has to take beg for forgives from Allah because my mother never mentioned the name of Allah in her qasam? Please answer me soon as possible.
Q: If a vow was made that for every R100 a person receives he will give R 20 as sadqah to poor people as long as there is no debt owing to anyone.
1.Can he buy gifts with this money and give it to his family, even though the family are well to do?
2. Can he use the money to sponsor items to the musjid or put the money in the musjid box?
3. If the vow is broken once does the person still have to keep to the vow subsequently?
4. If a person can't remember if he made the vow verbally or in his mind, will the vow be valid?
Q: If I make a mannat that I will read Surah rahmaan eleven times everyday if my (specific) work gets done and after the work gets done I was supposed to read surah rehman everyday eleven times but I missed a few days because of haiz, so do I have to make up any kaffarah?
Q: What is the difference between and oath and a promise? When we take and oath that I will never do such a sin again, if we go angaist an oath we give kaffra tell me if we make a promise with God that I will never do such a sin again, if we go angaist a promise should we give kaffara or not?
Q: What is the difference between oath and promise? If anyone puts his hand on the Quran and says this is my promise to Quran that I will not do this work again, it will be considered a promise or an oath?
Q: Before my birth my mother took a nazar/mannat that if Allah Ta'ala grants her a son, she would make her son a Hafiz-e-Quran. But after I grew up my mother didn't take any essential steps to make me Hafiz-e-Quran. Now I am almost 25 years and studying at university. Please suggest me what should I do now?
Q: I have taken an oath. I cannot recall whether I uttered (said it verbally). I cannot even recall whether I only moved my lips (with a humming sound / with no sound or I have made normal sound). In order to take an oath is it mandatory for the person to hear himself? Please advise if my is oath valid. I am really worried. Please advise.
