Q: A person is working for a Madrasah. He says he is doing it for Allah's sake/pleasure. Does this mean that he can't /shouldn't take a salary from the madrasah?

Q: A company that was founded and currently owned by a Muslim has the name 'Hyperion.' In Greek mythology, 'Hyperion' is the name of a child between the Sky and Earth deities. Encyclopedia Mythica Online.] Hence, the name of this Muslim-owned company has the same kufr-shirk connotations as Nike. Please advise:

(1) Is it permissible to utilize the services of a company with such a name? They provide online courses in computer programming and similar services.

(2) Is it permissible to be employed in such a company?

Q: I would like to know if I can rent out my outhouse/granny flat to a Hindu lady? It is directly behind my house and very close. Of course she will probably have her god statue and TV etc.

He also gives us commission because we give him our whole team we are not involed in any activities so is it permissible to sign such a contract and what about our income it will be lawful for us?

Q: My husband works for the SAPS. As part of their dress code, male police officers (my husband is a police officer) are not allowed to keep beards (and in fact, may only keep a moustache). My husband is a new Muslim and has started growing his beard recently. Should he abide by their dress code or should we request for grace in terms of the beard rule, citing religious reasons?

Q: I am a web developer and an IT professional. While developing any website, I sometimes have to add videos, pictures, cartoons, movies, music and many more related things. What should I do in such situations?

Q: We are selling dedicated servers to customer in the U.S. They purchase this service from us and than use it for their business, etc. We do not know what they will use this service for. They use the server for marketing etc. We do not sell such a service to the person who is going use it unlawfully and in a wrong way but when we can not recognise where they will use this service, than what can we do? Can we provide them hosting service? Is it permissible to for us deal with them? This server and hosting service can be use in both ways permissible and impermissible ways. It depend on customers usage. Please advise us.

Q: Is it permissible to read Salaatul Asr after five at work and make the staff wait for you whilst you are reading Salaah?
