Q: A person went for Umrah. After a few days he decided to go for ziyarat to Taif (up to Masjid Abdullah bin Abbaas radhiyallahu anhuma) from Makkah.
1. Was it necessary for him to return with Ihraam back to Makkah?
2. If yes, then what is the penalty as he is now back in South Africa.

Q: I always knew a person cant pass meeqat unless in Ihram even if a woman is in haidh. Now someone said, a woman in haidh can pass the meeqat, then when she is clean she has to bath, go to Masjid Aysha (for niyat and talbiya) then do Umrah and there is no dam. Also that a woman in haidh can not be in the state of Ihram, she should act like she is in Ihram but not in reality.

Q: "I would like to check the permissibility of wearing Ihraam in Jeddah. We'll be traveling first to Dubai then to Jeddah. We'll be staying in Jeddah at a hotel for one day and night. The reason for stopping in Jeddah is to take rest for my grandmother as she is elderly. I just want to check the permissibility of going into Ihram in Jeddah the next day before leaving for makkah, or should it be done before crossing miqat?" Could mufti please provide me with sources as there is much debate and conflicting information about this. According to what I've checked jamiatul ulema gauteng and jamiatul ulema kzn have ruled that it is not permissible. What would be the basis of ruling otherwise?

Q: My friend is travelling for Umrah next week. He will land to Jeddah, from there he will travel to Makkah without making Ihraam and making Niyyat of Umrah. From the hotel after checking in he will go to Masjid-e-Ayesha with the niyyat of umrah and from there he will wear ihraam and will perform Umrah. Is it ok or is it mandatory that he has to make the niyyat from Jeddah?

Q: I went for quiet a few umrahs and in one of them, I cannot remember which one. The following occurred: Due to the fact that I cannot remember which umrah it was, I cannot remember where I read my Salaatul Ihraam. Along the way from Madinah Shareef to Makkah Shareef thinking that the Meeqaat is far ahead, I intended to postpone my intention for Ihraam, and I passed the miqaat without intention for Ihraam, and I cannot remember if I passed the Miqaat with my hat on my head or not, and I also cannot remember if I made my niyyat with talbiyah for Ihraam later on or I made my umrah without the niyyat for Ihraam. What should I do. I am going for Umrah in the coming Ramadan (Insha Allah).

Q: I once performed umrah when I just became baaligh. My grandparents and I entered Makkah without being in Ihraam and also I did not wear proper shoes in Ihraam, however all of this was unknowingly as I had not yet been taught that. Should I still pay a dam and what should one do if one cannot afford a dam?
