Whistling ringtones

Q: Nowadays many new Samsung phones have a message tone of a person whistling in a tune

1) Is this considered the same as music and thus the person will be sinful?

2) What is mentioned in the hadith regarding whistling?

A:

1. Whistling tones must be avoided.

2. It is the way of kuffaar and muslims have been prohibited from imitating the ways of kuffaar and kuffaar ways must be avoided.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
