Husband telling wife "jao tum meri taraf se farigh ho"
Q: If a husband and wife are arguing and the husband says he made his biggest mistake marrying this women etc, and as the argument continues he says twice in anger jao tum meri taraf se farigh ho. Is that classes as a divorce?
A: If there is a practice in vogue in the place that you live in where these words are taken for a clear divorce then your wife will be divorced two revocable talaaqs. If there is no practice in vogue in the place where you live, then since this word is an ambiguous word of talaaq one irrevocable divorce will take place if the husband had the intention of talaaq. If the husband did not have any intention of talaaq, then no talaaq will take place.
