Questioning the laws of Allah Ta'ala

Q: Why is it necessary to have witnesses and a Moulana present for a nikaah to take place but for divorce to occur nobody else besides husband and wife need to be present?

A: This is the law of the shariah. A muslim does not ask why has Allah Ta`ala stipulated the law in this way and why not in that way. A muslim may ask whether this is the law of Allah or not.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
