Using a wig and performing wudhu and salaah with a wig

Q:

1. Is it permissible in Islam to use a hair patch (wig) for a better look/personality.

2. If yes, then is it permissible to perform wudhu and salaah while using the wig?

3. While using a permanent wig, which is stuck with gum on the head, and cannot be removed, can one do masah over the wig while making wudhu?

A:

1. It is permissible to use a wig provided it is not made from human hair and swine hair.

2. Yes, the salaah will be valid.

3. One should not use a permanent wig as it will prevent the masah and fardh ghusl from being valid.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
