Status of salaah and nikaah if one smokes cannabis

Q: If one was to indulge in smoking cannabis/weed and later regrets and makes taubah.
1. Will ones salaah be accepted before 40 days are over?
2. Will ones nikaah be valid if performed within the 40 days?
A:
1. If he is absolutely remorseful and makes a firm promise not to commit it again then Allah Ta`ala will accept his salaah.
2. Yes.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
