Making tayammum when one has access to water

Q: If the person has access to water and isn’t ill and he can use it and suppose this person does the actions of tayammum, is it said that he did tayammum but it’s not valid or is it said that does not count as tayammum as water is present?

A: Tayammum is a substitute in the case where water is not available or when due to a valid excuse one is unable to use water. Hence, in the case where one makes tayammum without a valid excuse, the tayammum will not be valid.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
