Notice period to resign from a company

Q: If a person was working for a company for more than a year. In terms of the shariah, what is the minimum notice period or how long of a notice period does one need to give to a company if he decided to resign from that company?
A: There is no shar`ee specification for this. As long as he does not violate the contract and agreement that was made at the time of employment, it is permissible.
