Access Bars therapy

Q: Is Access Bars therapy permissible? It is also known as EFT Bars.

A: Our findings is that this treatment is similar to bodytalk and reiki as the healing therapists endeavour to tap into the points (known as bars) and try to change one's mindset, feelings and negative emotions. Since many of these therapy and healing treatments have their roots in Hindu and Buddhist religions which are based on shirk connotations, through one adopting this form of treatment, it is highly possible that one will begin to subscribe to wrong beliefs and entertain wrong feelings about Allah Ta'ala and the hereafter. Therefore, in adopting this form of treatment, since there is great fear of one's beliefs and one's deen getting affected, it is impermissible for one to adopt this form of treatment.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
