Wudhu and salaah of a person who had a fistulectomy

Q: I had a fistulectomy wherein for a few months pus and blood will continuously flow out of the wound. Kindly advise on what measures have to be taken regarding the reading of salah. If I have to read Quraan Shareef what measures do I have to take to be considered paak.

A: If the flow of the blood and pus is continuous throughout the salaah from the beginning till the end, without you getting a chance to make wudhu and perform salaah in a state of cleanliness then you will be counted as a mazoor. As such, for as long as the bleeding is experienced thereafter in every salaah time, you will make wudhu at the beginning of the salaah time and read salaah and make tilaawat with that very wudhu. You may place a gauze etc. on the affected area so that your clothing does not get soiled.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
