I think they are based upon eastern philosophy and psychology. They are not scientifically proven to work but a lot of people use them, I used them they seem to work. 2) Some might say if you use them tools you'll be committing shirk, what if I think this way that Allah has sent these tools and I believe He is cureing me by using these tools.
