Q: If the awwal waqt for a salaah has come in e.g. asr, but the azaan has not yet gone in the masjid. If a person enters the masjid, will it be disliked at all that he reads his Sunnats although the azaan has not gone yet? If it is disliked, then would this be the case in a musallah that only gives 10 minutes between azan and salah, and a person would like to perform lengthy Sunnats and start before the azaan?
Q: Is it permissible to perfrom Salaah on a Musalllah which has a 'picture' of Musjid ul Haraam or would it be disrespectful?
Q: Our masjid was built in the 1980’s and the committee at that time put the carpet in line with the building although the qibla was at an angle so that more musalees could pray salaah. The qibla is out by approximately 23 degrees. The link bellow shoes the correct qibla in Blue line and the qible being used is in line with the centre ridge of the roof.

A mufti gave a fatwa some years after the masjid was built, that they could continue praying salaah in the current wrong direction to prevent controversy, but if the carpet is ever changed, then the correct qibla should be followed. Last month the current committee changed the carpet (knowing the fatwa given by the mufti to change the qibla direction if the carpet is changed) but kept the old incorrect qibla. Will salaah in the masjid with the wrong qibla be accepted? Does the committee need to move the carpet so that the correct qibla is achieved?
Q: If the iqaamat has just started, and one joins the saff next to someone one knows, should one greet them or shake hands? Or ignore them because iqaamat is on?
Q: What is the ruling regarding bleeding piles and salaat. Recently I was on a trip to Cape Town. Before returning, I performed salaat at the musallah at the airport where I was the imam. When I returned home I noticed that there was some blood on my underwear, which was from piles. I am not sure at what point the piles were bleeding. Please advise what action/s need to be taken, if any, regarding my salaat and that of the jamaat.
Q: I visited a senior sheikh in Cape Town who qualified in Al Azhar Egypt. The sheikh asked me to stay the night at his house. We made fajr salaah at his house in his study. I gave the iqamah and the sheikh walked into the study and led the salaah as the imaam. Only the two of us were present. The room was dark and after we had completed the salaah the light was switched on and I then only realised that the respected sheik led the fajr salaah in his underpants and a pyjama top. I was taken aback and asked the sheikh if its correct to lead salaah whilst only wearing an underpants and no long pants. The sheikh answered abruptly by saying " are you greater than Imaam Shafee and do you know better than Imaam shafee" I want to know if this was correct to make salaah in an underpants and do I perform my fajr over again as he was the imaam.
Q: If the azan has just started, will it be fine for a person to start Sunnats whilst the Azaan is on? Or is it better to wait till it is over?
Q: Please tell me what is the correct way of doing sajdah for hanafi mazhab sunni muslim women? Some say there is no difference in the way of doing sajdah between men and women and some say that the elbows of the women should touch the ground and a woman should contract her body during sajdah. Please tell me what is the correct way of doing sajdah.
Q: Is it proper to read Salaah wearing a kurta that has short sleeves?
