Zakaat on property

Q:

  1. Is Zakat due on the current market value of the land or the original value at which it was bought given that the land is still in my possesion? Also the intention of buying this land is to build a house for personal use.
  2. In order to avoid Riba (interest) to buy a house without mortgage, I am intending to buy land(s) such that after few years I will buy a house for my own personal use after selling 1 or more lands. Is Zakat still due on this land(s)? If yes then on principal amount or current market value?

Offsetting a debt

Q: If I have lent some money to a needy friend and the latter is absconding from repayment and is avoiding me, can I later consider this money as zakaat without telling him that I am considering the sum due as zakaat to him?

Making an effort to respect teacher

Q: One of my teachers does not talk to me because of some misunderstanding which was not my fault. I tried to explain to hime but he did not believe me. Now when I see him while driving, I put my hand up to greet him but he does not respond. I also see him in the supermarket but he just walks past me. I said salaam in a loud tone but he did not reply. My question is that as a Muslim is my duty fulfilled by trying to talk to him and if I see him I would make Salam or put my hand up. Will I be sinful because he does not not talk to me? Have I done my duty?

Urine drops coming out after performing wudhu

Q: After urinating I clean myself with tissue till all the drops go, then I wash with water. When I'm satisfied I begin my wudu and after wudu I check again to see if any drops came on the toilet paper. Most of the time I find drops less than a big coin size (the drops add to a uk 5 pence coin). Now I have waswasa in this situation should I clean the drops and perform wudhu again or clean the drops and no wudu? Normally I always perform wudhu even if it is less than a big coin. To be safe should I perform wudhu again or would that be classified as wasting water. Please advise me.

Performing Salaah while having the need to relieve oneself

Q: Is it permissible for one to perform salaah if his bladder is full and he has the need to relieve himself? Similarly, if one is performing salaah and one feels the pressing need to relieve oneself, can one continue his salaah or should he break his salaah, and after relieving himself, make wudhu and thereafter perform the salaah?

Dream

Q: I dreamt at noon, that I had an ulcer in my bile duct that connects liver with stomach and I was so worried in that dream. I was told by someone (who I don't remember now), that some ulcers occur in our body in some internal organs but one does not feel pain and those ulcers at the severe stages causes death. Before I slept, I was having pain in my abdomen. It was pain due to hunger, like hunger pangs but I was not hungry in reality. I had taken a proper meal. I request you to interpret my dream.

Dream

Q: Please can you explain the meaning of the following dreams. In the first dream I was standing on a bridge and what I saw below was clear water with large cows. I think they were skinless laying down together. I think there was at least four, I also had some meat which i think was cow or chicken meat and I also threw that below into the water. After a short while I came off the bridge and met some people below which I recognised as my enemies. In the second dream I saw myself standing near a tree and I also saw the side of a dark figure dressed in black from shoulder to ankles, I think it was black silk, with no hood. Could you please explain the meaning of the two dreams.

Dream

Q: I dreamed that I was sitting at a window when, as though a dejavu, a woman appears beside me (I don't know who it could be) and she starts reading from a page. This page apparently advises what I must do with my life and the outcomes following it. I cannot see what is written on the page since she is facing me with the page facing her. Although I trust the woman. Again like a dejavu, suddenly, I appear back at home. It looks bright with noor and a good feeling. A relieved moment but I'm aware of it. My mom tells me that my sister-in-law has given birth to a baby girl. I already know this and what the name would be as I have lived this day before. In reality (waking life) this niece is 9 years old already. As I joke to my mom what 'I think (because I know) what the girls name would be, an arab man wearing a bright white fez and sallah top walks in to give me a message in arabic (which sounds like a surah of the quraan I don't know) and I had a message for him too but just one word in arabic (I don't remember the word but it sounded like 'robit' or something with an "r" & a "t").

Suddenly I became aware of the reason I was sent back in time. It was meant for me to know the message. I looked frantically for the message in my drawer. As if the last time, I overlooked the message. I kept thinking to myself "don't forget the message". Then suddenly I was removed from that scene and back to sitting at the window where the woman was. It comes to me somehow that the woman who I had previously trusted had been false. I took the page she was reading from and everything she had said to me was false. She had mislead me. She had previously told me to put my eyelash on a guy and what I must do/follow and that would lead me to happiness. However, when I read the page it was apparent that she had given me the complete opposite info of what was written. Even the guy she said was good for me was false and misleading. Everything she said was a steer into unhappiness, contrary to what is written on the page. In this dream, I felt as though for 9 years I was mislead by someone I trusted. This page had a list of info scribbled down. The only thing I remember from the page when I awoke is the name of a person. I know this person in reale life too. Kindly advise me what this could mean.

Dream

Q: My dream was that I went to my uncle's home and when I reached the gate I saw a big hole which I could not cross. His wife said to me that you can't cross it and a dog was with her. I told her that my mom wanted to meet her brother. She said that he can't meet. I often see dogs with that lady and they always stop my way to enter my uncle's home. Please interpret.
