Q: Is there any specific dua while carrying the janazah. Many times, we find people reading the shahadatain. Is it correct?
A: There is no Sunnat Dua that is reported in the Hadith at the time when carrying the Janaazah. Instead people should remain silent at this time. To make zikr in a loud tone or reciting Quraan loudly while carrying the Janaazah is makrooh.
