Hajj & Umrah

Woman in haidh entering into ihraam and delaying the umrah

Q: I'm currently in Madinah and my period started last night (Friday). My period lasts for 10 ten days. That has always been my habit. We leave for Makkah on Sunday insha-Allah. Do I enter into my ihraam and perform my umrah when we reach Makkah and pay my dum, or do I not enter ihraam on Sunday and delay my umrah till before we leave for home?

Woman attaining the reward of males in the haram when reading in the hotel room

Q:

1. I want to know that I heard from an aalim that a female performing salah in the innermost room is superior and more rewardable then performing in the courtyard or varendah. I also heard that a female performing salah in the hotel room is more virtuous and rewardable than in Haramain Sharifain. Is this correct?

2. If it is more rewardable then will the females get the sawab/reward of one lakh namaz when she is reading in a hotel in Haram and fifty thousand in Madinah. As a male would get one lakh when reading his namaz in Haram near Kaabah and 50000 in Madinah in Masjid-e-Nabawi.

3. Moreover, will a person, male or female, get the reward of one lakh when reading his or her namaz anywhere in Makkah and Madinah or it has to be specifically in Haram near Kaabah and in Masjid-e-Nabawi. But for female they will read namaz in hotel rooms as it is more rewarding so any hotel situated anywhere in Makkah or Madinah will she get the same reward or it has to be near the Haramain and not far away. (Far away means how far away) from Haramain?

Doing Hajj-e-Badal for a person who has dementia

Q: Hajj was fard on a person, but he delayed it until he became old and lost his senses due to severe dementia. Is it valid for his family to fulfill the fard for him by:

1. Bringing him along for Hajj and making the intention of ihram etc for him
2. Doing hajj e-badal for him during his lifetime (note that he is not in his senses to command this, but it will be fully on their own initiative)
3. Doing hajj e-badal for him during after his death

Please provide the ruling for each of the three scenarios.

Returning home for a janaazah after donning one's ihraam

Q: What is the ruling for the following scenarios?

1. A man puts on his Ihrām and goes into Makkah. When he checks into his hotel, he receives news of the passing away of a family member, hence he flies back, in Ihrām, for the Janazah, thereafter returning and commencing his Umrah. Is there anything due upon him?

2. A couple are going for Hajj. As they don the Ihrām and are about to enter Makkah, the wife's menstruation commences, which will end on the 7th of Dhul-Hijjah, hence after the completion of the husband's Umrah, they decide to spend the remaining time in Madinah. Is there anything due upon the wife?

Trimming less than the required amount of hair to come out of ihraam

Q: Kindly advise what should I do and what's the ruling for the following incident:

My husband was not in ihraam, he then trimmed off a fingertip length of a lock of hair, not the entire bottom of the hair. We thereafter kissed and only realized later on that the entire bottom of the hair needed to be trimmed. Is there any penalty for this?

Postponing hajj due to the fitnahs in the haramain

Q: There is a lot of fitnah happening in Saudi Arabia; the government is allowing a lot of haraam there. The Hajj is being used by the government to extort money from Muslims. Muslims are committing a lot of haraam near the Kaaba; there are reports of men touching women's buttocks during the circumambulation of the Kaaba. Many are taking photos inside the Hajj to the point where it's almost impossible to avoid being recorded.

Would it be permissible to postpone the Fard Hajj until things improve in Saudi Arabia, thus allowing for a purer Hajj without involving haram?
