Keeping the name Abdul Ahad or Ahad

Q: I was wondering if I can name my child Ahad without Abdul or do I need to name him Abdul Ahad?

A: Both are permissible. However, Abdul Ahad is better.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
