Hadhrat Moosa (alaihis salaam) being stuck with the Bani Israeel for 40 years in the desert

Q: I would like to know that when the Bani Israeel were made to wander for 40 years aimlessly, did Hadhrat Moosa (alaihis salaam) also wander with them? I heard in a jamaat bayaan that he roamed with them.

A: It was not wandering around. It was as though they were landlocked. They could not move from a certain point. And in this period of time both Hadhrat Moosa (alaihis salaam) and Hadhrat Haroon (alaihis salaam) had passed away.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
