Marrying a girl from a Qaadiyaani family

Q: I like a girl that girl belongs to a Qadiyani family but she is a Muslim herself as she has claimed and even recited the kalima in front of me to prove it.

Kindly tell me if I can be in nikkah with her and what are the precautions that need to be taken or shall I need more verification about her religion and how can I do it?

A: Qaadiyaanis are not Muslims. They are kaafirs (disbelievers) as they believe that Ghulaam Ahmed Qaadiyaani was a prophet who was sent after Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam).

Through believing in Ghulaam Ahmed Qaadiyaani being a prophet after Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), they have disbelieved in the clear verse of the Qur’aan which says that Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is the final and last Nabi to be sent in the world.

Hence, If this girl is still a Qaadiyaani, then it is impermissible for you to marry her.

However, if she has recited the kalima and embraced Islam and she has made tawbah from following her past religion, then it will be permissible for you to marry her.

We advise you to speak to the pious elders of your family before marrying her. If they feel that she is an upright practising Muslim and she does not have anything of her past religion in her, then you may marry her.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
