Was Ebrahim (alaihis salaam)'s uncle or father the one who disbelieved

Q: Is it true that it was actually Ebrahim (alaihis salaam)'s uncle who disbelieved and not his actual father? Is there a difference in scholarly opinion?

A: There are two opinions in this regard. According to one opinion, it was his father who had disbelieved and according to the second opinion, it was his uncle.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
