Sitting in the tashahud position while listening to the khutbah
Q: I would like to find out what is the significance of sitting in the tashahud position while listening to the khutbah (with ones hands on ones lap). I witness it on jummah's often.

Namaaz me ghalati karna
Q:
1. Agar koi shakhs Imaam saheb ke salaam pherne ke baad bhi kuch dair tak salaam na phere apni namaaz jaari rakhe, yani Imaam saheb salaam phair ke muqtadiyo ki tarf munh phair ke beth jaye aur wo shakhs apna darood sharif and dua puri kar ke salaam phaire uske baare me kya hukam he?
2. Witar ki musalsal teen rakaat parh rahe hon aur doosry rakaat ke baad tashahud ke baad bhool kar darood shareef bhi parrh liya jaye to kya sajda-e-sahw karna ho ga ya namaaz saheeh hogi.
When should the index finger be raised in tashahhud?
Q: I just want to ask when performing the tashahhud, when will I raise my finger and when should I place it down?
Reciting duas in nafl salaah
Q: Can I read the following dua in my salaah? (Eg in sajdah, end of tashahhud)
توكلت على الحى الذى لا يموت الحمد لله لم يتخذ ولد و لم يكن له شريك فى الملك و لم يكن له ولى من ذل و كبره تكبيرا
Tashahhud me daai paaw ku khara nahi karsakta
Q: Tashahhud me agar koi daai paaw ku seedha aur us ke ungliyo ko qabla ki taraf nahi karta ky ke ayse karne se us ke paaw pe dard hotha he, to kya doosre tareeqe se bheth sakta he? Masalan sirf baaye paaw pe bethe aur daai ku sirf mor de, kya aisa baithna jaaiz he?
Moving the index finger during tashahhud
Q: Can one move the index finger during tashahhud? Most people don't move it once but keep on moving it. If one can kindly give me the refrence from Qur'an and Hadith.
Masbooq (latecomer) joining the Imaam before Salaam
Q: Whilst performing Salaah with Jamaat behind an Imaam, if a Masbooq (latecomer) joins the Salaah after the Imaam has completed four rakaats and joins just before the Salaam.
1. Is it necessary for him to recite the tashahhud with the Imaam for his Salaah to be valid or is it sufficient for his Salaah to be valid that he joins in the Salaah before the Imaam makes salaam?
2. Should the Masbooq recite only Tashahud in the Qa'dah or also Durood Ibraaheem and Duaa after Durood.
Reciting tashahhud behind the Imaam
Q: When your praying namaz behind the Imam, in every salah in the final rakat when you are seated in tashahhud, the minimum you have to recite is the tashahhud dua and if you start reciting durood and the Imam does salam then you have to do salam as well whether you have finished reciting the durood and dua or not, is this true? And in Zuhr, Asar, Maghrib and Esha, after the second rakat when you are seated in tashahhud and you are reciting the tashahhud dua, if you havn't finished reciting the dua and the Imam stands up for the 3rd rakat, do you finish reciting the dua and then stand up or do you follow the Imam and stand up even if you haven't finished reciting the tashahhud dua?
Mistakenly sitting after the first rakaat
Q:
1. If the Imaam in taraweeh salaah mistakenly sits down for tashahhud after one rakaat, thinking it to be the second rakaat. After sitting down, he immediately realized and stood up for the second rakaat. In such a case, will he have to make sajdah sahw?
2. And what about if this happens in farz Salaah?
