Communicating with the boy before nikaah

Q: I am in a very discomforting situation in my life. I don't know who to ask but I think Allah SWT guided me to you. In my family, only my mum does Shariah Pardha. In my Dad's side of the family, it is a norm to get married in the family as well as to talk to your cousins.

A while ago I communicated with my male cousins but I realised it is wrong. Therefore when I went back home I only spoke to them if there was a dire need. I don't do Shariah Pardha at the moment but I hope to do so.

Anyhow, I got engaged to my uncle's son whom attends jamaats etc. He tried to communicate but I ignored the messages. Later he spoke to my female cousins, therefore I responded and explained that I don't find it appropriate talking to you. But he doesn't understand.

My parents think it's okay for me to talk to him if I talk within limits. However, I don't want to talk to him and I have explained a couple of times, however he does not understand. I don't know what I should do.

Talking to inanimate objects

Q: Is asking or saying things to inanimate objects haram (or shirk)? For example, absentmindedly saying 'work faster' to your computer when it is slow or 'please stop hurting' to an injured limb? obviously, the person does not believe that these objects have any power whatsoever and that Allah is really the one in control.

Taking an oath that one will not talk to a certain person

Q: I promised Allah that I won’t talk to my friend first, meaning I won’t start the conversation first. Yesterday he called and I answered then we spoke. So now can I call him and talk to him or do I still have to wait for him to start the conversation. If I start the conversation will it be like breaking that promise. Some time I feel like I promised not to start the conversation ever so what should I do if I am not sure my oath. Can I talk to that friend or will it be considered as breaking the promise?

Talking to someone about one's problems

Q: Is it allowed to tell someone your problems? I have been struggling from depression and anxiety kind of stuff. I didn't tell anybody about it so it got worse. I know alhamdullila, that only Allah can cure this and get me out of this but can I tell someone like sharing with someone and is it allowed to tell an Aalim of Deen about your problems as I faced problems and I didn't tell anyone about it so it got worse.
