Q: Why are non muslims not allowed to visit Makkah and Madinah which is a holy place of Islam?

Q: My parents and I are going for Umrah on the 23 February insha allah. Please can you shed some light on Umrah for me as this is going to be our first trip out of South Africa. I have been reading books on Umrah.

Q: Are women allowed to perform Salaah in the two harams?

Q: I was given to understand that Haji/Alhaj denotes a pilgrim in Arabic Language. After one has fulfilled his Haj and removed his Ihraam and returns to his native country he is no longer a Haji, i.e., a pilgrim. But, in my country India,  Hajis after their return from Haj Pilgrimage,
add a mandatory prefix title to their name i.e., Alhaj Umar for example, wherever they include their names whether it be wedding or other social invitations, letters, banners, media, etc. 

1. Is the usage of this prefix title of Alhaj allowed in Shariah even after a Haji returns from Haj?
2. Will it not be classified under Riy'aa ?(Showing Off)

Q:  Is it haraam or in any way wrong to give gifts or arrange dinners for those who are coming and going for hajj? For example, if a friend of mine has returned from hajj, is it wrong (from an Islamic point of view) to give her a gift or invite her for a meal?

Q: Is it true that a haajis duas are accepted for 40 days?

1. Could you please let me know after how many days from Eid ul Fitr does Eid ul Adha come?
2. Since Yaum ul Arafah comes only once, why do people in India and Pakistan or other countries only follow the calender dates rather than the exact Arafah day.

Q: Can my wife who I am married to in sharia law. If I tell my wife you can not go for umrah or hajj with out me, can she go with her family against my wishes?

Q: Is it permissible to take pills to stop one’s period when performing hajj?

Q: What does Baytullaah (house of Allaah) mean?
