hadith

Following a mazhab

Q:

1. Is it necessary to follow anyone amongst 4 imams? Is there any ahadith? What was their ijthihad towards giving opinions on ahadith? Did four imams mention that "in case what they were doing is later found to be not correct then we should ignore them".

2. Why some Muslims believe that only two shahih hadiths are only hadith and rest hadith like Abu Dawood, ibn Maja, an nasai and tirmidhi are not correct hadith

3. Should every Muslim believe in all ahadith?

Verification of a Hadith

Q: Many years ago, I read a book in which a hadith was cited wherein a wealthy Sahabi (radi'Allahu anhu) uttered a criticism and complaint about the existence in the midst of other Sahaba (radi'Allahu anhum) who were poor and therefore perceived as being an unduly burden on the community. As I recall - and I ask Allah's forgivness if I am mistaken in my recollection - Nabi sal'Allahu alayhi wa sallam, did not take kindly to the attitude of the Sahabi (radi'Allahu anhu) and rebuked him by saying words to the effect that it was only because of the existence of such poor people, that Allah's Mercy reached the community of believers at all.

Please confirm:

1. Whether such a hadith exists; and if does,

2. Whether it is reliable and authentic, and

3. If it is, provide me with a copy of the Hadith in Arabic together with a parallel english language translation?

Commencing salaah with Surah Fatiha

Q: I read in tafseer Ibn kathir that Surah Fateha has seven verses in it and there are some Hadith also there in that tafseer from two sahihs that Bismillahir rahman nir Raheem is a first verse of Surah Fateha. There are only seven verses in Surah Fateha. Now, I saw in Sahih Bukhari Narrated From Anas bin Malik (radhiyallahu anhu): Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu anhu) and 'Umar (radhiyallahu anhu) used to start the prayer with "Alhamdulillahi rabbil aala min" Vol-1,book 12, number 710. ( Sahih Bukhari-- characteristics of prayer). Now, what should we start the prayer with?

Making tashkeel

Q: The tashkeel that the tabligh jamaat do, is it Sunnat? One jamaat brother has mentioned this that Nabi (Sallalaho Alaihi Wasallam) would make tashkeel and Sahaabah would stand up.
