Q: Is it permissible to drink cough syrup which contains alcohol?

Q: Today many medicines/sedatives/pain killers whether allopathic and homoeopathic contain certain percentages of alcohol in them. Operations are also performed using anaesthesia. Hence, we are left with no choice but to use them for our well being. What is the Shariah ruling seeking cure using these alcohol based medicines? Are they Halaal or Haraam?  Please give details.

Q: Is one permitted to apply a womans breast milk, not necessarily ones own wifes, to his skin to treat skin conditions. It is said to be very beneficial. This is having tried most other medications and methods available already.

Q: Can I use the medicines to increase one's desires?

Q: I orderd some vitamins and found out it has gelatine in it. However the source of gelatine is from a cow. Can I take the vitamins?

Q: Is homoeopathy medicine a sunnah is it encouraged by Islam?

Q: Can I take a vitamin D supplement that is derived from sheep wool?

Q: Are food and medicine capsules, that contain gelatin from animal sources, Halaal due to the changes that they go through.

Q: I am taking Ayurvedic medicines that contian alcohol not more than 6%. Is it permissible to use medicines that contians alcohol. If I quit taking this medicines other medication like Homeopathy and Allopathy also contains alcohol in meagre quantity.
