Making dua through the waseelah of Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)

Q: Is it correct to end your dua such, Ya Allah complete my dua with the waseelah of your Rasool صلي الله عليه وسلم. What is the correct way to make dua and the correct manner to end the dua?

A: It is permissible to make dua through the waseelah of Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam). One will make dua in the following manner "O Allah, accept my dua through the waseelah of Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)."

The etiquettes of dua are that one should begin the dua with praising Allah Ta'ala, reciting durood upon Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and thereafter asking Allah Ta'ala for one's needs.  At the end of the dua one should again recite durood upon Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam).

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
