Eating while seated at a table

Q:

1. Is it sinful to eat seated at a table?

2. Is it Sunnah Muakkadah to eat from a cloth spread on the ground?

A:

1. Though it is not sinful, but it is not the better thing to do.

2. No, it is not sunnat-e-muakkadah.
