Q: Is female genital mutilation allowed in Islam considering the fact that a woman faces various complications such as infections, bleeding and even death?
A: Islam condemns all types of mutilation. If you are referring to circumcision then this is not mutilation. It is highly unfair to call it mutilation. It is just like if a person trims his hair etc. it is not called mutilation, rather it is an adornment. It is the weakness of your understanding and shortness of sight to call this mutilation.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
