Q: If a person utters the following statement, does it constitute shirk? A person says 'The food was divine'. Is it shirk to refer to food as divine?
A: No. According to the general usage, at times the word divine is used to describe food which is extremely delicious.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
