Q: Please could you advise if making dua for a long life is allowed in Islam? What is the ayat to be read from the Quran that saves you from death for that day?
A: Yes, du`aa for long life with barkat.
We do not know of any such aayat.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
