Eating rice with one's hands

Q: Is eating rice with hands sunnah? Some say that there were no rice in time of our beloved Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam).

A: Rice was in existence even before Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
