Woman washing her entire hair in ghusal

Q: Someone told my wife that after fullfiling the rights of the husband, when doing ghusal,  she should just pour 3 chulloo (handfuls) of water on her head. It is not compulsory to wash all her hair. Is she pure by pouring 3 chulloo (handfuls) i.e. little water on her hair. Will the ghusal will be valid or not?

A: For the ghusal to be valid the entire hair will have to be washed and water will have to reach all parts of the body (together with gargling the mouth and rinsing the nose). If the entire hair is not washed or any part of the body is left dry, the ghusal will not be complete.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
