Reciting a surah after surah faatiha in the third and fourth rakaat of fardh salaah

Q: In salaah while performing four fardh, in the thrid rakaat, is it permissible if I read surah faatiha then surah ikhlaas?

A: One should not recite a surah in the last two rakaats of a fard salaah. However, if one had recited a surah after Surah Faatiha, the salaah will be valid. 

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
