Eating the meat of an animal that was stunned before slaughtering

Q: Is it permissible to eat meat of an animal which was stunned before slaughtering?

A: If you are sure that the animal was alive at the time of slaughter then the meat of the animal is halaal. 

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
