Zakaat on money collected to build a house

Q: If money has been collected with the intention of building a house, then when will zakaat be due on it?

A: If one has the nisaab amount, then one will have to pay the zakaat on the money, even though one has collected the money with the intention of building a house.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
